Ms. An came from South Korea and obtained my B.F.A. there. After receiving her M.F.A. from the Graduate School of Figurative Art of the New York Academy of Arts in 2001, she continued to study at the Art Students League of NY and the Cercle Artistic de Sant LLuc in Barcelona, Spain.
Her work has been shown at numerous exhibitions throughout the U.S., Italy, Spain, Japan, and South Korea since she arrived in the U.S. in 1995.
She has received 33 awards, including
The 2024 & 2011 Individual Fellowship Grants From the New Jersey State Council on the Arts, in partnership with Mid-Atlantic Arts,
Her work has been reviewed and published in over 50 critical articles worldwide.
